Yes - the following conditions apply:
The minimum number of hours of employment is 15 per week unless otherwise agreed by TTAC;
The maximum term of the training contract is no more than twice the nominal full time duration for the qualification;
The minimum term is no less that one and a half times the nominal full time duration for the qualification;
Industrial arrangements must allow for part-time employment.
Notes
In addition to the usual tests that the training meets TTAC Policies and Guidelines and the requirements of the Training and Workforce Development Act 2013, the following criteria applies to any prospective learner entering a training contract in TAE40122: - The prospective apprentice/trainee must be employed in a role and undertake duties within a workplace that directly relates to the qualification and supports them to obtain the competencies of the qualification named in the training contract as required by TTAC Guideline 1.2.2 - To meet the requirements of TTAC 1.2.2 the prospective apprentice/trainee would normally be employed directly in the VET sector, in a role and undertaking duties that primarily involve the delivery of training and/or assessment of Nationally Recognised Qualifications or Accredited courses. - Where the prospective apprentice/trainee is not employed directly in the VET sector, they must be employed in a job role undertaking duties that primarily involve supporting the delivery of training and assessment of competence from Nationally Recognised Training Packages or Accredited Courses in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program. - A part-time training contract may be considered as appropriate depending on the percentage of duties meeting the above. ---
