Notes
This qualification has been replaced by AHC30820 and was originally to be discontinued on 26 August 2021. On 30 April 2021 the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) agreed to extend the transition period of the AHC30816 Certificate III in Arboriculture for apprentice learners until 16 December 2022 It was demonstrated to ASQA that apprentice learners would be genuinely disadvantaged if they were required to transition to the replacement AHC30820 Certificate III in Arboriculture as the impact of COVID-19 on the delivery of practical course components and the significant structural changes to the qualification may lead to additional cost and study burdens. The request was supported by Skills Impact in their capacity as skills service organisation for the AHC Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. This extension is granted to all registered training organisations (RTOs) delivering the AHC30816 Certificate III in Arboriculture to apprentice learners. The decision extends the transition period for these RTOs to continue training, assessment, and issue Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) certification. The AHC30816 Certificate III in Arboriculture will remain on relevant RTOs scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period, unless withdrawn from scope prior. ASQA will publish this decision on its website. If you have any questions about this decision, please contact transitionrequest@asqa.gov.au This qualification is related to the declared trade of Horticulture, Gardens & Parks.
