48 - The duration for the dual apprenticeship Electrician/Instrumentation is 60 months.
Available Part-time
Yes - the following conditions apply:
The minimum number of hours of employment is 15 per week unless otherwise agreed by TTAC;
The maximum term of the training contract is no more than twice the nominal full time duration for the qualification;
The minimum term is no less that one and a half times the nominal full time duration for the qualification;
Industrial arrangements must allow for part-time employment.
Notes
On 23 October 2020, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Deputy Chief Commissioner agreed to extend the transition period of the superseded qualifications (including this qualification) and superseded and deleted units of competency from the UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package Release 1.5 until 5 October 2022. A list of the affected training products can be found on ASQA’s website. The decision was made following a request from Australian Industry Standards in their role as the Skills Service Organisation for the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package. The affected training products will remain on relevant RTOs scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period, unless withdrawn from scope prior. ASQA will publish this decision on its website. If you have any questions about this decision, please contact transitionrequest@asqa.gov.au The replacement qualification will be considered for approval as an apprenticeship/traineeship qualification in Tasmania when the qualification and unit hours are available.
