Notes
This qualification has been replaced. On 22 December 2020, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) agreed to extend the transition period of 25 qualifications from the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package, including this qualification, until 27 November 2022. This extension is granted to all registered training organisations (RTOs) delivering the qualifications. The decision extends the transition period for these RTOs to continue training, assessment and issue Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) certification. The qualifications will remain on relevant RTOs scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period, unless withdrawn from scope prior. ASQA will publish this decision on its website. - In some cases, ASQA is empowered to approve transition periods longer than those detailed in Clauses 1.26 (a), (b) and (c) of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015. In accordance with the Guidance for Providers – Learner Transitions, ASQA will only consider applications for a longer transition period where it can be demonstrated that there would be genuine disadvantage to a cohort of learners if such an extension was not approved. ASQA has recently approved an extended transition period for the qualification CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry for all ASQA registered RTOs with scope for delivery for continuing students only. The extended training, assessment and certification issuance period for this qualification ends on 31 January 2024. ASQA consulted Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority (VRQA) and Training Accreditation Council Western Australia (TAC WA) for this extended transition request. The decision to extend the transition end date for this qualification was made on 23 November 2022 and supported by Skills Service Organisation – Artibus Innovation. CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry will remain on ASQA’s Registered RTOs scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period unless the RTO chooses to withdraw it from scope prior. ASQA will publish this decision on its website.
